Fourth of July - 2013

We had hoped to spend our Nation's birthday out the road ... with a picnic!

Mother Nature had other plans ... heavy rain ... not the best for a picnic.  We've had coastal storms now for nearly 10 days ... it doesn't make for enjoyable picnics ... but it makes for great dillydallying!  Time to implement Plan B ... indoor picnic and dillydally away the hours indoors.
I pulled out a small kit I had purchased in Gig Harbor while on our Seattle Adventure!  The pattern came from Thimbleberries and the kit was put together by Harbor Quilts.
I did switch out the border fabrics ... you know, to dillydallyize it a bit.  ;-)  It was a fun way to spend the day ... easy piecing ...
... and easy to finish in a day!

Mr. DillyDally did brave the elements and we enjoyed delicious grilled Copper River Red Salmon.  Unlike Mrs. Bobbins, I neither make or expect him to wear an apron!  ;-)  I made an apple pie ... resulting in a very relaxed holiday!  Hmmm ... maybe Mother Nature knows best!

Do what you love.  Relax.  Do dillydally!
Mrs. DillyDally
