Our Sweet Kysa

It is with such sadness I share this ...
... our sweet Kysa quietly passed away this past Friday.
She loved adventure ... no matter what we were doing, she was there!
Her smile was infectious ... she had a wonderful sunny disposition!  Always a joy to be around.
She adopted us in April of 2002 ... just months before Sister's high school graduation.
With Sister leaving for college and then beginning her adult life ...
... Brother and Kysa became extremely close.
The two of them shared many adventures ...
while in high school, friends would refer to Kysa as brother's girlfriend ...
... they were rarely apart.  They were best friends!
She really missed him when he left for college in 2007 ... but lovingly adjusted to life with only Mr. DD and I.
When Brother came home each Christmas ... she was thrilled!  She loved the annual tree hunt!

And during the summers ... when Brother was home for months ... they had many grand adventures!

Best Buds
When Brother introduced Girlfriend into the family, Kysa took to her immediately!
It was love at first sight for these two!  So sweet!
That look of love ... how she loved us all ... unconditionally.
Our hearts are filled with such ache ...
... and at the same time we are so grateful to have had Kysa in our family for 13 years.  She was a blessing in so many ways and the joy she brought to our lives will live on.

Be a blessing!
