California Dreamin'

I had such a wonderful week in southern California ... so much to share ... it is hard to know where to begin!
Love streets lined with palm trees.

Shopping
Outdoor or open air malls ... a heavenly shopping experience.  Who knew?  I didn't even know they existed!  Sure can tell I've lived my entire life in colder climates!
Yep ... we found a place where we felt completely at home.
We went to one of Sister's favorite weekly flea markets ... amazingly wonderful treasures there ... fun to come across something that relates to home!
Of course ... one cannot come to Los Angeles ... and not experience Rodeo Drive!

Sister and I have always loved window shopping ... we love to identify trends ... and always come away with creative ideas!  I found a purse that I fell in love with ... looked at the tag!  Nearly fainted ... $12,900!  No joke!  We nursed our sticker shock with handmade ice cream!  ;-)

Entertainment
We spent an evening at Groundlings Theatre!  What fun!  Many of our favorite comedians and stars began their careers on this stage!  What an enjoyable couple of hours!
Sister giggled, as she shared this with me.  When she meets new people here ... a common question is always ... "Are you in the industry?"  She has such fun with that ... love her attitude!  It is amazing that a city of this size really does revolve around the entertainment industry.  Such fun for those of us who just enjoy it!

Beaches
A beautiful state park ... open to the public.
Large lawn ... amazing green space to enjoy before getting to the sand.
Wonderful path ... perfect for cycling, strollers, wheelchairs, roller blading .... access for all!
Beautiful hotels ... amazing architecture!
On the sand.  View to the left ...
... view to the right.  All available to the public ... just as it should be.
The surf ... beautiful in every way.  Yep ... we got wet! ;-)

I can completely understand why people choose to live here ... they are dillydalliers in their own way ... living their dreams in southern California!

Do what you love.  Keep dreamin'!  Do dillydally!
