Family Fun!

Sister DillyDally was home this past week!
Little Nissa thought her older sister was quite the pushover wonderful!
It didn't take our girl long to shed her California lifestyle and return to her roots here in our remote corner of the planet!
Boyfriend DD came as well ... it was his first visit to Alaska!
We located a pair of boots for him ...
... and he fit right in!
Boyfriend was such a good sport and remained open minded about all the unique aspects of our dillydally life!  He was great to have around!
With these two living in town ... we enjoyed a week of family fun, food and adventure ... our family complete ... with everyone present!
Those who have adult children understand how difficult it can be to collect all members of a family under one roof!  It was so nice to have everyone together!
It is so rewarding to have your children become close friends in adulthood ... how I love the people they've become!
It warms my heart to see the fun these two women have together!
They know how to make everything fun!
Love these four faces ...
... they generate such happiness ...
... each one a blessing ...
... my heart is full!

Family IS everything!

Having our entire family together means the world to us!
We're savoring every moment we have together here in our remote corner of the planet!

Zoom ... Zoom ... Zoom!

Life here is DillyDallydom is at warp speed!
Don't let this sweet little face fool you.
"Don't worry about rinsing the dishes Mom, I'll do that for you!"
Like every puppy ... she is busy and in the middle of everything!  It is impossible to get anything done around here ... but we know puppyhood doesn't last for long, so we're enjoying it!
Convincing these two that coexistence is possible has had its challenges!  We've made sure that half the house is a puppy free zone ... so that has helped.
Flicka recently decided that they can be in the same room ... both are guilty of torturing the other ... in the end we all know that Flicka will rule!
Ari comes often to visit ... they are both so stinkin' cute!  Two puppies together is a riot of activity and puppy antics!  Ari is twice the size of Nissa, so they have to watched closely as it can get too rough easily!  There are no boring or quiet moments when these two are together.  Too fun!
Cousins
Mr. DD's brother and family spent four days visiting us here in our remote corner of the planet!  It was fun to share our lifestyle with them!
Days packed with family and fun are the absolute best way to dillydally!

Do what you love.  Zoom!  Do dillydally!

Give-A-Way Winner!

Congratulations Marilyn!
This Flicka mug and coaster will be traveling to Wisconsin!  I hope it will remind Marilyn of her dillydally dreams every time she uses it!

Nissa's First Week as a DillyDally!

"Hi-Yip-Yip!  My name is Nissa!  I'm the new member of the DillyDally family!
Today I turned 8 weeks old!  I have lived with the DillyDally clan for a week now!  My new Pop googled "Scandinavian Dog Names" and found Nissa ... it means Happy Little Girl!  It fits me perfectly!  I am a black lab and golden retriever mix!  All puppies are overly enthusiastic, so everything ends with an exclamation mark!
I come from a big family of nine brothers and sisters!  Here are five of us ... I'm the one on the lower right ... my new mom says it was love at first sight!
I chew everything in reach with my pretty baby teeth!
We live on the beach ... this was my first visit ... it was big and scary!
I found my courage to explore and now I run all over the place!
I play so hard that I fall asleep in the middle of tug n' war!
We went nagoon berry picking ...
... they said it was a small patch, but it seemed very big to me!
I got belly rubs!  I love belly rubs!  I followed this guy around and rolled over on his feet for more belly rubs!
I got really tired!  So I found a log to rest my head on!
My head fell off the log!  I didn't even wake up ... just kept sleeping with my nose in the ground!
Finally they decided my job was to protect the berries!  I did a very good job!
This is a picture of me and Mr. Belly-Rubber ... yip ... we're friends for life!
I love to chew on my ball ... sometimes I chase it ... mostly I carry it around!
Taking naps with Pop in the recliner is fun!  I also like to chew on his camo crocs!  He says camo is my favorite color!
My Pop says that I have a very good nose ... he notices things like that!
I was soooo proud when I found my first stick ... yip ... I brought it in the house too!
We went blueberry picking in the Big Woods ...
... now that is exhausting!  The moss provides a nice soft bed for napping!
Pop gave me a chew stick ... I love it!
I highly dislike the devilish device called a leash!
When frightened, I feel safest between Mom or Pop's legs!
Every time I walk by flowers, I just have to bite one and eat it!  Yummy!

I have so much to learn ... Mama said that this first week we just learn to trust and love!   That was easy for all of us!  This next week they are going to help me learn to come when they call my name!
OMGolly ... the world IS a very large place ... and there is so very much to learn!  Mom and Pop say softly ... puppy steps Nissa, puppy steps!"

Play, eat, nap, and potty!
