Preparing for the Holidays!

Life is filled with all kinds of blessings ... here, in my remote corner of the planet ... one of those blessings is our local yarn shop, The Net Loft and the owner Dotty!  Recently, she hosted a weekend of fun to help us prepare for the holidays!
This is the display that greets customers as they enter the shop!  Wonderful!
So much more than a yarn shop ... beautiful gifts for anyone on your list!
Friday night was an Open House event!  Many gift ideas for knitters to make and receive!  So inspiring!
Mitten garland ... so stinkin' cute!
Knitted ornaments ... stockings ...
... and others!  So sweet!
Dotty shared her gratitude and inspired us all to enjoy the season.
We enjoyed Mulled Cider and these adorable Gingerbread Men!  Not only did the store look like Christmas ... it smelled and tasted like the holiday as well!
The cookies were made by Diane ... who so willingly shares her culinary talents!
On Saturday, Dotty hosted a Christmas craft day!
Many hands were at work all afternoon long ...
... creating treasures for their home!
Projects designed to inspire and remind us of all that the Christmas holiday represents ... simply wonderful!
In October, Dotty was able to realize a personal dream by attending Wool Week on the Shetland Islands!  Sunday afternoon, she shared her pictures, journal, and memories from her experience.  Her adventures inspired us as knitters ... but more importantly she encouraged us to fulfill our dreams!  I love when my friends experience their dreams ... so empowering!
Today I am hanging my garland ... and as I prepare for the holidays it reminds me to prepare my heart as well ... to focus on what Christmas represents ... peace, love, and joy.

Do what you love.  Do dillydally!
