Short Days and Long Nights

Most people are already aware …
Dawn - 9:15 am
… that our days are much shorter here in my remote corner of the planet during this time of the year!  I thought that you might be interested in what that looks like.
Middle of the day - 2:00 pm
Currently it is dark when I go to work ...
Dusk - 4:15 pm
… and dark when I get home from work.  Fortunately my classroom has large windows that bathe my students and I with daylight!  We will be celebrating the winter solstice shortly ... soon the days will be noticeably longer!
Sunset - 4:30 pm
Enjoy the view … and a glimpse of my dillydally life. ;-)
Do what you love.  Do dillydally!

  1. Everyone complains about winter. I look forward to the Winter Solstice because I know the days are getting longer :)

  2. Beautiful pictures! My husband and I visited Alaska this August. He's ready to go back and stay all summer. Our summers here in Texas are much harsher than yours, but I think your winters have us totally beat!
