DillyDally Attachments

The heavens released buckets of rain yesterday ... perfect weather for dillydallying!  I picked up two quilts that were recently completed by one of our local long arm quilters!
Log Cabin quilt ... pieced with Holly & Taylor brushed cotton.
Their flannel used for the backing.
This lap sized quilt is for Mr. DillyDally!  So it will be living with us!
The Buzz Cut made with Thimbleberries fabric.
I used a solid brown flannel for the backing.
Obviously this one is Flicka's favorite!  Of course ... it was her first quilt!

I can't help but believe that she remembered ... she went crazy when I took it out of the bag!  She kept rolling around and rubbing herself on it.
This quilt was to be a gift ... not sure the "Supervisor" will let it leave the house.  When I look back at my post about piecing this with Flicka's assistance ...
Flicka's First Quilt - June 2012
... I'm not sure I can give it away either.  Oh my ... too many emotions ... such attachments!  I stopped working on the binding and decided to distract myself in the kitchen ...
... by testing a new recipe!  Peanut Butter Oatmeal cookies ... they are delicious!  Both Mr. DD and Brother have given them a "thumbs up"!  I had one (ok...more like three) with coffee for breakfast this morning ... yep, this recipe is a keeper!  Now ... let's see if I can face binding that quilt today!
Do what you love.  Do dillydally!

  1. Your quilts look gorgeous. I love the oak leaf pattern and see why FLicks likes it so much. Peanut butter oatmeal . . . Yummy!
