Treasured Time Together!

Family is everything...
John Day River and Valley, Oregon

...but you already knew that! ;-)  Mr. DillyDally and I attended a reunion of family from my mother's side.  My mother grew up in central Oregon and many of my relatives still live in that area.
Uncle and Aunts
Because both sets of our parents lived in the midwest, we always traveled there with our children.  Mr. DillyDally had never met most of these relatives and it was his first trip to Oregon.
First Cousins
It had been 30+ years since I had seen many of my cousins ... yet the connections remain strong ... I love that about family!
Second Cousins
It was so fun to see and meet the children of my cousins ... many for the first time!
Third cousins
And a few of my cousins are grandparents ... so wonderful!  It had been a long hot day for the youngest family member! ;-) What a cutie!

We ate together.
 We hiked together.
We learned a lot about our family history ... together.
And we danced ... together.
Three days of being ... doing ... talking ... and sharing together.  It was wonderful in every way!
We had so much fun ... we decided to do it all over again in 2014!  We had such a terrific time!  Huge thanks to cousins Ruthie and Shana who took on the task and organized the event!  We're already looking forward to 2014 and hope to "Round-Up" even more Randalls!

Do what you love.  Treasure time together.  Do dillydally!

  1. Family connections remain strong, even when they don't see each other often -- what a true statement that is! Glad you had such a wonderful time!

  5. Is that Sisters? You know, it's not that far to Portland and Hillsboro! Next time you should include a side trip.
