Living in Spin Cycle!

At the end of every day, the sunset reminds us that the world really is spinning ... that time continues to march on.  When I am in the middle of dillydally wonderfulness, like the Fiber and Friends Event, I want time to stand still ... but of course ... it doesn't!  We're on the spin cycle!

Warning ... this is a very photo heavy post!  You've been warned ... here is life behind the scenes the past few weeks!
A friend gifted me with rhubarb!  Rhubarb won't wait ... I had no choice!
I washed and chopped 18 cups of fresh rhubarb ... I processed eleven half-pints of rhubarb sauce ...
... twelve half-pints of rhubarb jam ... and the rest went in the freezer!  Yummy!  I am so grateful for the fresh rhubarb ... a labor of love!
 Flicka helped by sunbathing!  ;-)
One morning, Mr. Heron joined me for breakfast ...
... I preferred my toast with rhubarb jam over his "fishy" snack!
We celebrated Brother DillyDally's 26th birthday!
There was rain ...
... it collects on the foliage to create Mother Nature's version of diamonds!
It pays to take a knitter from upstate New York on a hike in the rain!
Sheridan glacier ... in the rain ... in all her misty wonderfulness!
Some knitting did occur.
Flicka helped with my attempt to blog about the Fiber & Friends wonderfulness!  Seriously ... I amaze myself ... how do I get anything done?  Hee-hee! ;-)
My lovely friend Anna, creator of Skeins in the Stacks ...
... with her absolutely wonderful literature inspired yarns.  It is as lovely as she is!
Mr. DillyDally and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary!
All this busyness leaves poor Flicka completely exhausted!
Look who made an appearance while driving out the road?
Mr. Grizzly Bear!  Thankfully we were in our car and not on the hiking trail!
Some knitting progress was made!
My goodness!  All this spinning of the planet has left Flicka limp and comatose!  How do we humans manage?
It is hectic ... living in the spin cycle!  I wouldn't want it any other way!  I love this dillydally life here in my remote corner of the planet!

Do what you love.  Embrace spin cycle!  Do dillydally!
Mrs. DillyDally

  1. I love this post! I have been reading and watching all your knitting projects. I am hoping Gladys will help me get sock knitted. I have wonderful yarn I purchased while on vacation a few years ago in Colorado.
I love the photos of Flicka. What a life! Happy Birthday to Brother Dillydally!
Happy Anniversary to you and Mr. Dilldally!
