Super Bowl Sunday was wonderful in every way …
… this was our view as the game began! Yep … it was hard to stay indoors and watch the game on a day like this!
Mr. DillyDally and I are thrilled with the results of the game … the entire Pacific Northwest is celebrating!
Friday night I was able to finish the edges of both armholes on Brother's vest!
And Saturday morning I finished the neck edge … woo-hoo!
I really enjoyed this project … the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Readers may recall that I raided my stash for this project … and had worried about having enough yarn! Not only am I celebrating a finished knitting project, but having yarn to spare was an additional reason to party! ;-)
I cannot think of a better way to celebrate a finished project than to start a new one! So I spent a wonderful hour browsing my local yarn shop, The Net Loft, and came home with two skeins of a beautiful red linen. The shop has a washcloth knit with linen on display and I fell in love with the results.

There is a pattern in the book for a table runner. Designer Joanna Johnson captured the beauty and simplicity that I can imagine would be found in the home of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. I have never knit anything for the table … I think it will be fun!
Flicka approved and with her supervision, I made good progress today. ;-)
A weekend of celebration … great weather … a project finished … a new project started … a football win … life is a party here in DillyDallydom! ;-)
Do what you love. Celebrate. Do dillydally!
Mrs. DillyDally
One of these days, I am going to be sitting on your deck enjoying the scenery!
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job on Brother's vest. I really like the idea of the table runner.
Sure do miss those Cordova sunsets- you truly capture the beauty of the area in your photos!
