California Food!

Time ... technology ... resources ... are in a perpetual state of change, constantly evolving!  As humans ... our evolution is much slower.  Food is about so much more than sustenance.  Since the beginning of time, every culture has and continues to gather around their food.   I love that ... it is comforting to know that in so many ways we are all so very similar!

It is immediately obvious that in southern California, people make time to enjoy and appreciate their food and drink.  It truly is a part of their lifestyle.

Eating Out
After a movie, Sister, Boyfriend DillyDally and I enjoyed a French lunch at an International Food Market.  What a great way to spend the day!
One morning, Sister treated me to coffee rated the "best" in LA!  Honestly, I think it was the best coffee I've ever had!
We went to a fish market in Malibu ... I had to take a picture of the Alaskan seafood available for my fishing friends.  I asked and they carry our local Copper River Salmon in season!  Now Sister knows where to find a taste of home!
Fresh seafood lunch ... in Malibu ... an ocean view ... with my daughter ... I love life in California!
This restaurant has been open since 1936 ... the service style and menu hasn't changed ... a wonderful glimpse of early Hollywood!
Delicious food ... great company ... fantastic ambience ... amazing service ... we felt like movie stars there!  Cannot wait to revisit this place with the entire DillyDally clan!

Eating In
Sister introduced me to Moscow Mules ... light and refreshing ... I really enjoyed them!  You can find the recipe here on her blog.  I love the way she added glamor to the vodka bottle with a fur ruff and vintage pin ... such a peak into her fun-loving personality! ;-)  I made them for Mr. DD the first evening after I got home ... he likes them too ... such fun!
We ate most of our meals on her patio ... wonderful to enjoy good food in the sun!
Fresh flowers ... candlelight ...
... one of her favorite childhood meals ...
... Polynesian Stack-Up ...
... enjoying time together.

Precious moments ... good food ... shared with a loved one ... priceless memories.

Do what you love.  Do dillydally!
